4G/3G problems

Hi all. My phone connects to wi-fi without issue, but sometimes when I need to use 4G/3G, my browsers (Dolphin and Chrome) say that I'm offline and can't connect. I can't figure out what the problem is. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Do you have any sort of powersave enabled? Sometimes I've noticed that it will toggle off mobile data, and sometimes you'll need to manually toggle it back on.

I might have the same problem, it's not clear to me exactly what the OP's problem is. I will start a new thread if necessary but I'll try here first.

My problem is that when in LTE/CDMA preferred network mode, the phone won't switch to 3G automatically. To get internet at home, not using wifi, I have to set the preferred network to CDMA. Then I get the 3G icon and I connect.

A few particulars: I have a Boost Mobile Galaxy S3 phone and there "is" 4G LTE available in the area. I use the quotes because in my area the 4G is kind of random and spotty. When I first got the phone I could get 3G at my house, then walk 1/2 mile up a hill and the phone would automatically switch to 4G LTE, with download speeds that were very fast. Now I can't get the 4G on that hill no matter how the phone is set as far as preferred network. I'm even wondering if the problem is with the local network and not the phone.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!!

I too had that problem on my Boost GS3. Couldn't figure it out for about a day.
Everything was turned on and should have been working but just wasn't there.
I manually updated my PRL and Profile and my 3g/4g popped right back up. Hope that helps.

I had a similar problem with new S3 from Virgin. On CDMA/LTE network ,it detected nothing. On CDMA only, it detected and conected 3G. i called Virgin, and actually got good tech help! Updated the phone, and it now works. I think this is a known problem... lots of activity if you google 'CDMA vs CDMA/LTE"
