why is my data going crazy? it keeps switching to 1x/ev and my 4g comes on for like a good min and then switches to evdo any help?

This happened to my thunderbolt a few years back, right after I used hotspot for ps3/mw3 online and steamed Atlanta falcons game at the same time. Temp got real hot. Never recovered... Have you been doing anything similar?

i tried that and i even reset my signal and still nothing im still on evdo i get 4g but when i start using data it switches to ev

well found out why it was doing this. its because of the merge in my town i have it worse then any other towns around me the metro pcs dealer told me it was going to do this until t mobile and metro merge completely

Yes and this is partially why we are having overheating and battery drain more. Our phones are constantly searching for data connections because of this merger. It's really bad in my part of Dallas Texas right now. I know a few people with these problems and they don't even own a motion.. It's not cm10 it's not gps (unless left on all day) it's happening on stock and other models. It all depends on your location, this is why some are having issues and some aren't.
