Root 4G on T-Mobile: Need Help! SOS

I searched the forum and failed to find a similar topic... if its out there then please point me in the right direction.

So I am a total noob when it comes to tech... please bear with me as blunder my way through this.

I have an AT&T Note i-717 that I unlocked (for T-Mobile), installed ICS, rooted using (ODIN) NoteRoot, then backed it up with Clockwork.

Prior to rooting I had EDGE on my phone and was able to make calls, after rooting and installing clockwork I had lost my network. I thought OK... if I flash one of the suggested radios then I will get my connection back. Right? Nope.

I have tried VKL1, KID, and icsblaze. After all that it still says NO SIM and will not get a network of any kind...

Did I brick it or is there a fix?

Thank you!:D

Welcome to Android Forums! We are glad you have joined us here.:)

Moved thread to the "all things root" section of the Note LTE forum since that is most likely where your best solutions will be found.

Let me ask you this, before you upgraded to ICS did you do a backup anywhere? If so then restore the backup of GB with whatever kernel/radio you had and let's try the upgrade again.

If not then... Sh*t... If it were my phone I would do a backup of the current state and then flash a custom rom that has its own baked in kernel. I could make a suggestion or two if you need a link, but that's what I would do first.

Also, I would post this same question in the appropriate section of other forums. The truth is this forum is light on active members and it sounds like you need a solid answer asap. I would try the Q&A section over at XDA Developers and rootnote.com (I think).

I did not do my homework, just downloaded a bunch of $***and expected it to work. Thanks for the hint:
I unrooted.
Rebooted to a stock AT&T rom.
Rooted and booted to a custom ICS ROM, flashed ICSBLAZE and now have 4G LTE.

Epic win. :)
