I am thinking to buy a Galaxy S2 as this seems to be one of the few smartphones that are compatible with 1800 MHz LTE networks.
But before I buy it, I want to know if an LTE only mode exists?
I live 3 miles from the nearest LTE tower but I live less than a mile from the nearest 3G tower, so I'm sure the phone will always use the 3G network.
After some googling it seems that I have to dial *#4636# in order to activate the LTE only mode, can Galaxy S2 users please confirm that this works? And if possible show me a screenshot?
