4g phone to 3g phone without vz?

Okay I have a thunderbolt and a incredible. I want to use the thunderbolt until the battery dies then use the incredible the rest of the day.

Is there anyway to switch back and forth on these phones? Since *228 does not work with thunderbolt? Or will I have to use a computer to swap them?

I believe you can use *228 to switch to the incredible but every time you go from the Incredible to the Thunderbolt you will need a new sim card.

There is a way that doesn't require sim cards and *228. Activate both phones on two lines, and set it up through VZW so that when the TB misses a call (powered off, call ignored, etc.), calls forward to the incredible instead of going to voicemail.
