4g phones

in canada. looking to buy a smart phone. will a 4g phone work on 3g network

Welcome to AF! I'm not sure I understand the question....As long as the phone is 4g capable and the carrier supports it, I don't see why not.

As long as the phone supports the frequency bands of the carrier, it will work. You have to look at both the phone and the carrier if you are taking an unlocked phone to a new network.
