4G? So what!

I think it is funny how people worry so much about numbers from a "speed test" application when it has nothing to do with real world speeds. I have seen so many people tout their speed test application results on the thunderbolt 4g (LTE! OMG) with no mention of how my Atrix with its notoriously bad connection and not even half the speed test result still brings up web pages quicker than your thunderbolt.

that's actually true and I've seen it myself on several reviews that tested website loading speed comparisons. But hey, the truth isn't half as much fun as making silly imaginary claims I guess. I kills me how we keep getting people trolling this forum even after they supposedly returned their Atrix like a month ago. What kind of person keeps coming back to troll the forum of a product they haven't owned for a month? Unless of course they're trying to make themselves feel better for making a choice they really regret.

I played with my friend's new Thunderbolt and it is incredibly fast on 4G surfing the web, downloads. That said for my needs, not really that big a deal. I am at my office or home or in hotels that all have wifi, so I use wifi for probably 80% plus of my needs on my phone. I use my phone a lot for emails, texting, calling, so 3G is no problem for me. The times I use it for navigating the web, listening to pandora, etc on the road away from wifi it works just fine. If I need to do real work on the road, I use my thinkpad and in rare cases where wifi is not around, wireless teather to my phone, this is where it seems where 4G would really fly, almost like broadband at home. However many places I travel do not have 4G, so for now I am perfectly happy with my incredible on 3G...
