4g upload/download speeds?

Hi everyone. My 4g does not seem very fast compared to my previous 3g Inc and I'm wondering what kinds of upload/download speeds you are getting. Please let me know. Thanks!

the fastest that I've got on LTE is 27.42 download and 5.46 upload

Thanks, Henry. I'm wondering if something is wrong with my phone. The average speeds I'm getting on 4g are about 6-8 download and 1-2 upload. I'm in a metropolitan area, if that matters. Anyone else having 4g speed issues?

How is LTE signal strength on your GS3? Do you have other LTE phone to compare with? That's not too bad speed and you might be in weak 4G area. It's still much faster than 3G on verizon.
You may visit local VZW store to compare with display GS3 to see if yours is similar in 4G performance. Some issues with SIM can cause this and it can be fixed by re-inserting SIM card or swapping it with new one.

What is a *228 Option 2 update? I understand the *228. I've not heard of the option 2.

Thanks. I guess different carriers have more options. USCC Cellular automatically does the prl update when you call *228. No other options. Here's my 4g results.

I keep forgetting this phone is on multiple carriers. I'm on Verizon. Sorry about the confusion.

4G speeds vary greatly...and even standing in the exact same spot and doing tests back to back can show very different numbers...

the fastest ive gotten for my down on 4G was just over 43Mbps....and on the upside about 35Mbps...but on average im nowhere near that

this is the highest speed I've tested at, signal here was really good

same location as above, my home, only during the early morning

Overall I'm very impressed with LTE. Sometimes it's slow and if I restart my S3 the speed goes back to normal. I'm guessing that just has to do with the crappy radio Samsung uses.
