Help 4g/wifi interchangeable problems (help!)

Got my indulge yesterday and when using it at home today with wifi, i have problems switching back to metro 4g network. I use the wifi for like 5 minutes and when i turn it off, i have no network (neither 4g not 1x). To get it back, i have to either restart my phone or go to airplane mode and then back out. Is this normal??

PS: i have the autokiller memory and juicedefender apps installed. Also, I live in miami and have an UNrooted phone

after i cut off wifi mine usually takes a minute or two to reconnect to something else, this also happens when i go from 1x to 4g
