5.0.2 update for Nexus 5?

The Naf

Newbie
Hi all,

New to the forum. Any idea if 5.0.2 has begun roll out for the Nexus 5 or if it even gets it? I had power button issues with my nexus 5 so recieved a refurbished one from Google under warranty thats been updated to 5.0.1. For some strange reason I recall having 5.0.2 on my old one but a quick search seems to indicate that it hasn't even been rolled out for the Nexus 5 and may never be (only the tabs. get it). Anyway am I just confused or has 5.0.2 begun rolling out to Nexus 5 devices?

Cheers

5.0.2 Hasn't begun rolling out yet. From what I hear, the differences between 5.0.1 and 5.0.2 are so small that we probably won't get an update till they go up to x.x.3

so its offcial then...I'm a hopelessly confused individual meandering on the edge of insanity...

thanks for you help :-D

Yes I've alluded to that in my initial post. Like I said for some reason or the other I remember my old one being on 5.0.2. But yea obviously I was mistaken ;-)

Why do I keep clicking on these articles??? I'll believe we have an update when it's on the factory images page. Till then, it's just made-up clickbait.

Not really clickbait here - this is directly from Motorola. I found it interesting because this is another instance where the Moto X has an OTA update before Nexus 5. Last time this happened, the factory images were released a few days later...

The article is talking about 5.0.2 which is a small maintenance release from 5.0.1, not 5.2 the next (possible) major update to Android. And, I would guess that the 5.0.2 announcement from Moto is unique to the X and not relevant to the N5.
