Help 5.0 issue

Android 5.0 has completely messed up my Nexus 7.
Apps stop running, internet is slow and a horrible shadowing
effect on the top, bottom and sides of the screen when I swipe
my fingers over it. It's frustrating and disappointing-is there anything
I can do? Can I get the previous version back?
