5.0 update

I have a Moto G (2nd gen) bought last month in the US. I do use it in Israel, however I have a US DNS server service (unblock-us, which for instance allows me to watch netflix as if I was in the US). So I'd think I should get the update as any other user in the US, but no - it insists that my "device's software is up to date" (I have 4.4.4). Any idea why?
