Well..
Having run with my note 2 for 3 years, rooted with TWRP and stock 4.1.2 , a few days ago had an issue with "unfortunately google play services has stopped". I could not find a way to fix this so:
I installed Resurrection Remix 5.5.9
A great rom based on cyanogen 12.1 which runs really smoothly. So far no issues. It far exceeded my expectations. Swiftkey keyboard and Google Handwriting Input replace the Samsung note keyboard from 4.1.2 and the android keyboard from remix very well. If you want Lollipop on your note 2 its a good option!
