5-in-1 MHL Connection Kit

Hi! I am new to this forum.

A few days ago, I dropped my Samsung Note 2 (SGH-i317M) on the floor by accident. The display is now dead. No pixel or light. But the menu, home and back buttons are fine. When I swipe, tap and touch the screen, the phone seems to be responsive. I am able to turn the phone on and off (blindly). So in essence, everything seems fine except the display went dead.

I am thinking about turning the Note 2 into an desktop Android PC. I wish to connect my Note 2 to a LCD Monitor (or TV) as well as connecting USB mouse, keyboard and USB thumb drive to it. I am thinking about buying a 5-in-1 MHL Connection Kit like the following:

I also have a Meizu MX quad-core (M032) which has "microUSB v2.0 (MHL TV-out)"

My questions are:

1. Will any of the above 5-in-1 kit work on my Note 2?
2. Will any work on my Meizu?
2. Do I (if yes, why do I) need the extra micro-USB adaptor? has it something to do with 5-pin to 11-pin conversion?

Thank you very much in advance.
