$50 from Verizon Wireless

Just wanted to let anyone who bought their Bionic directly from Verizon that this weekend they are having a $50 off 3g and 4g phones. I called the 800 number and told them that I bought my phone less than a week ago and am upset about the sale. They credited the $50 to my account!! Also I did call and complain to Motorola about their promotion they had going on with the $25 android market gift card. I advised them that it was very foolish to not send out their promotional email that started on the 8th on the 13th. They are sending me a gift card!!!
 
Do you have the info on the promotion Verizon is running, as well as the gift card from Motorola. I'd like to be credited as well.
 
Unbelievable. I purchased the phone on launch date, and just a week later they drop the price?? Is this what I get for being a "loyal customer?"
 
I called one of the local stores in my area and asked about it, and he said the only thing he knew about that involved $50 off was $50 off a tablet with your purchase of a smartphone.

The gift card promotion from motorola was sent in an email to the people who signed up on the motorola mobility page before the phone came out.
 
I just called VZW and talked to a CSR named David and told him about the Facebook post. He put me on hold for a few minutes and came back and told he wasn't sure on the validity of the post, but he said since I have "superb" payment history he was going to apply the 50 dollar credit to my account. :)

He did say the wording makes it strange because of the "new 2 year activation". He said it was probably for new customers only, but in the same FB post it says it is "Customer Appreciation Days" so I said, "why would new customers get a benefit of "Customer Appreciation Days"" and he agreed.

Doesn't hurt to ask :D
 
ha ha....I'm still waiting for my first email to announce more information about the release of the Bionic, that I signed up for on the VZW website before Sept 8th......... nice
