Root 551 disaster

I will accept all the abuse that you feel that this warrants.

I rooted my 551, and cleaned up a few telco apps that I didn't want. In the process I deleted TW launcher (gone). I feel very unhappy and stupid.

I installed droid explorer to try and copy/install a replacement file across. It won't do it. The package manager just crashes, and I can make no changes in the root directory from my pc via DE .

I am at the 551 start screen but no apps, settings etc. just usb (debugging on, and usb file transfer on). Please help. I just need to get a downloader or loader working to get my phone back.

resolved. I was trying to install the app into system apps instead of at the root. changed the target, and bingo. All good now.

If you ever delete twlauncher.app, then droid explorer side load is the answer, so long as the phone is rooted and you can get the phone back to the start screen to ensure usb debugging is enabled.

Phone is better than it was - originally parallel imported aussie telco setup, and now its factory reset with no trace of telco setup. Just like a real one :D
