Root .595 stock --> .596

quick question. I put the gb leak .595 stock on my dads phone when it came out. I guess I have to sbf it to get .596 on it since there's no way to root?

Check the sticky at the top of this forum. It will take you to the 596 files. They are prerooted so you will be good. Just follow the directions and you will be running 596 in a few minutes.

Since they're not signed, how can I install it since I can't get into bootstrap loader?

You need to be on the rooted version w droid2bootstrap installed, then from the clockwork recovery you can flash iy

Ok well he's on .595 stock, not a rooted version like I said in the first post. Is it possible to get from .595 stock to .596 directly?

no, you can flash the ota which is found at the top of the page, there is a deodexed version rooted for you

If they only did the 595 update, chances are that the radio version is .07P instead of .12P (since that was a 588 update) and they should SBF to 340 and then apply the 2-part.
