7" android 2.3 zcom tablet, help please!

Hi All, Thanks for looking at my thread. :hello:
I recently bought a zcom 7" android tablet made in china from a carboot sale for 45 pounds (cheapskate, LOL).
the tablet works fine and has wifi, hdmi output ,usb, sd card slot etc.
There is also a slot to fit a mobile phone sim card, when searching for available networks with my orange 3g sim inserted I am unable to connect to network, when searching networks a list of four numbers appears, I understand these correspond to uk mobile networks, after an internet search I found which each number means, orange uk is 23433.
I tried setting network as this but am still unable to join network, can anyone give me further advice please? :bawling:
Regards, Chris.

Have you entered the APN settings correctly for whatever network your SIM is on? Should be ... settings > wireless & network > mobile networks > access point names. As the device is seeing multiple mobile networks, I would assume the 3G is alive and functioning.
