i have an augen genbook 108 that i obtained in the fall of '11 from ebay. when it boots up, i get the genbook splash, android splash, and the home page. all with what appears to be a 7" display on the netbook's 10.2" screen. what appears to be a sliding menu (which doesn't slide) covers the right hand portion of the display.
i have been unable to root the device or install a different os (linux or android). can't find a whole lot on this guy. i'm not even sure what part needs updating/replacing. suggestions?
