$70 credit for premier customers still available

My contract was up in October but once i got my Evo i resigned for another 2 years my contract now ends in June so I called yesterday and told the rep I renewed my contract and wanted to know if any premier customer rewards were available for me and I'd heard about the $70 credit and $10 /24 months. The rep went and discussed my account with her supervisor and he granted the $70 credit cause the other was no longer available. logged into my Sprint account today it says amount due $-70. I look at it as 7 months with no $10 data charge. Hopefully I'll have 4G by then. sprint seems to hype the premier customer thing but its like you get no rewards unless you ask. Get that $

OMG!! Thanks so much, called well chatted online via Sprint.com and the same EXACT thing happened, the person said lemme talk to my supervisor and came back and said I am glad to inform you about being able to grant you the $70 credit! :D:D

Since I already have the $10/24mo discount for being given faulty airave units that never worked (will never use those again) this is great in addition to the no upgrade fee being a Premier!!! :p

Go to Sprint.com and than the section where your bill is and go into the analyze bill area and on the top right side you should see chat about this button - chat works from there! :o

Thanks, Lisa. Not sure why chat doesnt work from the "chat" link on top of the page. o.O

Anyway, I was DENIED the credit. This is what I was told via eChat:

5:43:51 PM :
Sterla T: we offer $70.00 credit for renewing the contract or handset upgrade with the rebates.

5:44:11 PM :
Sterla T: Both these offers cannot be clubbed.

So, they told you that you could have the $100 handset rebate OR the $70 contract renewal?

Did you other guys get the rebate too? I know which one I would pick....well, it's the one I've got.

Bought my phone at BB on the 4th, saw this thread tonight and called in. I already have a $10 credit on my account, as well as a 23% discount.

Was told I couldn't get the $70, I had the choice between a $50 credit and my next bill just being free. Which do you think I chose? I also got them to adjust my employee discount to 25% like it's supposed to be.

Thanks to the OP for pointing this out! Worked out for me!

I called earlier to put all lines on a Everything Data Family and the guy offered me $70 per line and i said go for it. SO i got credited $210 plus $150 for the Evo that they had to credit for upgrading early. So $360 is credits. My bill will be free for a month.

You need to renew your contract before you upgrade to get the $70.00 credit. You might find someone who well get it to you at the same time you renew but it won't be easy. When I renewed 2 years ago they almost did not give me my $70.00 credit. But I had it writing that they would give it to me when I upgraded and renewed my contract. Had to fight for it but got it 2 years ago. This time I renewed 4 days before I got my EVO so I would not run into that problem again. You can renew your contract with in the last 6 months of your 2 years and get a $70.00 credit. This year I got my credit then my upgrade without any problem.

Your next bill would probably be higher than 50 dollars, right? So just get that.

And for anyone who gets reps that say you can ONLY get either the handset upgrade or the $70 (might be 50 now), they are WRONG.

I initially talked to 1 online rep who mentioned that, however, after talking to 2 supervisors, I was able to get the 70 dollar credit and keep my handset upgrade.

I would keep pushing the issue or ask to speak to a supervisor for anyone having a problem.

Note: I got my $70 prior to getting the EVO, so people whom have already gotten the EVO and renewed may have more problems.

Will this work for people who's contract did not end before they upgraded to the Evo? What I mean is, I got a Palm Pre last June and resigned my contract then. This means I was only 1 year into my contract when I bought my Evo. When I got my Evo my contract was resigned for an additional two years. Will I still be eligible for this? What exactly do I ask for?

I just called and got a $50 credit for extending the 2-year contract I signed on the 4th when I got my EVO by 6 days (basically just entered a new 2-year contract today). The rep said that even though I am Premiere, this is available for everyone. And she said there is no credit for being Premiere. Goofy.

Got $140 credit ( 70 each line), 23% off monthly ( credit union discount) and still eligible for upgrades. Picking up a evo and a hero tomo. I guess it really depends on who you talk to.

I called today and got $10 off my bill every month, which basically takes care of the Evo 4G upcharge. I'm pretty happy about that. :)

So who is everyone talking too... Just regular customer service or Account Services - Retentions? How about the $10/24 Credit?

I have 4-5 lines that I would like to try to do the $70 credit with especially before I upgrade 2 for Evo's.

What did you say? I have tried to get that credit with no luck.... I'm such a cheap ass lol.

I went route of "I'm currently out contract and have been a loyal customer for the last 7 years, what can you do for me" I honestly think the credit union discount was a mistake, I was only suppose to get 10% but oh well. I'm not complaining.

I also just talked to customer service. She kept coming back and fourth with me and her adviser. She was great.

What is this $70 off thing? Per phone? And what is the $10/24 month deal? Ten dollars off for 24 months, you're saying?

Ummm... I WANT!!!

I got my Evo on the 4th also renewed that day and called for my credit on the 9th. It was pretty easy to get it granted. Just don't want people to think its not worth a shot.

Its $70 per line. I heard about the $10/24 thing, don't know much about it to coment tho.
I'm sorry if I'm sounding repetitive or stupid but... it's just $70 off per line? For premier customers? Just for being premier?

And what defines a premier customer? I'm not sure if I am, but I've been with Sprint for about 12 years now. That HAS to count, right?

I guess it was available for anyone renewing they're 2 year contract. Not limited to just premier customers. 12 years I'd say your premier. Probably were after the first year if your good on payments.

Don't worry about it :)

Its just 70$ credit per line. It goes towards your bill. So in my case my first month would be free. I remember reading some where that you are a premiere customer after 6 months.

Being off contract or near the end helps I'm sure. I also remember reading how you can get $70 twice a year or something along those lines. Just call up the rep and ask them if you qualify. Try to be persuaive, make it clear that you've been with them for a long time.

You can also get some discounts if you work for certain banks or just companies in general. If you work for a well known company then let them know and they will try and hook you up. Also being members of banks help as well. If you are currently not with any credit unions at the moment why dont you sign up at Alliant? It is free, just open up a checking account and you get 10% monthly from sprint.

Sprint Offers - get 10% off and $50 | Alliant Credit Union

Just be sure to read the terms. But it is just a savings account after all.
