70% or 100% of towers used by ST?

One ST rep said they use 100% of ATT towers. Another ST rep said they use only 70%, hence the lower price

anyone know which is true?

Talked to a friend in Walmart Electronics. He said its a limited amount of them for some reason.

i hope thats true, but my personal experience differs slightly. in my nexus 5 when i scan for cellular network, i find two att towers and one microcell, only one tower lets me connect to hspa with three signal bars. the one that rejects my sim has five full bars. YMMV.

As long as it activated on AT&T, you should have service at all of their own cell sites.

In my travels in New England, I've had LTE service everywhere, except at the casinos in Connecticut - where it's HSDPA on AT&T.

The GSM-based (which includes HSDPA and LTE) Straight Talk phones may roam when you're outside of the Straight Talk coverage area. CDMA-based phones will not roam if outside the coverage area. This is in their Terms of Service.
