7000 mAH Battery & SD Card Access

Just thought I should let people know…

Although the 7000 mAH battery covers the SD card, and appears to deny access to it, it is possible—albeit somewhat tricky and awkward—to remove and reinstall the SD card without removing the battery. I successfully did so a short time ago.

Just the end of the SD slot is exposed, and it is possible, by poking something into that slot, (I used a piece of paper clip wire, though it occurs to me that it'd be better to use something non-metallic—perhaps a toothpick with the point broken off) it is possible to get the card to click out, at which point you can turn the phone and shake it so that the card falls out. To reinstall, one must carefully maneuver the card back into the slot, get it to fall into proper place, and then poke at it again to get it to click in.

That is gigantic! (that's what she said...)

What's your usage on it? Was it really worth the buy? Or do you still find yourself having to charge anyway?

I haven't really made careful study, but I'm pretty sure I've gone over 36 hours between charges at least once, and still had at least some battery life left.

I don't tend to leave my phone off the charger as long as Seanette does. If I'm at home, my phone is almost alway plugged in. But on the stock battery, I had to use an external battery pack to get my phone to last for the six to ten hours that I am typically away from home at a time. With the Hyperion, it easily lasts that long and is still mostly full by the time I get home, without any external help.

Just a short moment ago, I got Seanette to produce this screenshot from her phone, which has been off the charger for nearly thirteen hours, and she says it was heavily-used today. She's still got 57%.
