Help 720p recording lag

Lolobond

Lurker
Hi im new here. I have a mytouch 4g(not rooted) and when I record in 720p and see the movies, I see a lag in the movie, like 2 or 1 seconds I some parts, I recorded in sun outside inside and night and is the same. I need a better sd card?(i have a 8 gb class 2) thank you

Ive got an 8 gig class 2 as well, and I dont know what youre talking about.

If you mean the low framrate (like a fast moving hand going across the screen and it looks "laggy")?

Thats the downside to the video on this phone I guess

Hi, Its not the framerate, I know it become laggy when is out of light, I mean when u record in hd and see the video some parts like stop for a sec or two. Some people say is the sd card classs. Anyone else have this?

Maybe it's the playback and not the recording? Does it have that lag even when you play it back on a computer?

I have the same lag issue. Strangely even with a class 6 card installed (that I've used for 720p recording on other devices with no issues). I have since picked up a class 10 card (which according to sd card tools tells me my phone can actually use class 10 speeds), and now the lag is gone. I haven't done longer recordings but at least 30 seconds in and there's no lag...unlike before the video lags behind the audio, then catches up every 5-10 seconds.

Technically if the phone writes directly to the SD card and doesn't store it locally then transfers the video to the SD card, class 2 is not sufficient for 720p video recording. I also found it strange that at a Tmobile kiosk I was at asking about an unrelated question, the representative pulled out the SD card from their demo unit and it was an 8gb class 4sd of the same brand...not sure what's up with that!
