Ive bin looking at my battery usage recently and the display seems to be taking up to much battery, y is this, it is using more power than WiFi apn and all other things, is there anything I can do to make it better, I've tried turning the screen brightness down but it isn't helping...

Well you could stop using the phone?

Its a touch screen phone with a 4 inch screen, and apart from a few hard keys there is no other input so you use the screen which uses battery should try a phone with an amoled screen as the don't use any power to produce black colours unlike these pesky LED screens.

what sort of battery life are you getting?

When i had an iPhone, i used to get a days use and then had to recharge every night. Now i mention this because i suspect the battery drain on an iphone is largely the screen too.

The difference is that Android allows us to see what is using the battery most, whereas Apple dont.

Remember too that the percentage readings that are shown are only estimates!

Pocket PC's or PDA's, whatever you want to call them, were notorius for this too, estimated battery life etc were always completely random.

This may not answer your question directly but i do believe it is a reasonable explanation.:D
