dear all,
i hope someone can help me,as various emails to 8ballpool support and postings to various forums have been unsuccessful.
i used to play 8 ball pool every day for ages, probably years, and now can play anymore.
apparently this game needs the latest version of flash installed in order to play, but as eveyoneknows android doesnt support flash anymore, so the game wont play.
im using a motorola xoom with android 4.0.4 and have flash 11.1 installed.
they advertise it is for android devices, when clearly they know you cant have the latest version of flash installed to play ???

so, what can i do?? please help, much appreciated

please help

I think flash still works with Dolphin browser, so you may give that a try. I don't use it myself though so I can't be positive.

have dolphin browser, but unsure why a browser would make any difference as i dont use a browser to play the game
Then you have to complain to the developer, because Flash is no longer supported by Adobe for Android - as I've no doubt you know.

Douglas Adams would say that they've surrounded themselves with an SEP Field.

Somebody Else's Problem Fields are so annoying that people just look the other way, creating the perfect stealth technology.

From what you say, that's exactly what the devs are trying to get away with.

i saw some links to download a 'modified flash for android' but then get a google msg to say this is against their terms of service

surely, with 10 million plus downloads of this game, i cant be the only android user having this issue?
Out of a billion Android users?

And as Android hasn't supported Flash for years, and Adobe hasn't supported Flash on Android for years, I wouldn't be at all surprised if you're not the only one having problems with it.

If it won't work on Android from 2011/2012 with the last supported Flash and the dev says it will with some magical, nonexistent update, then they're either idiots or dishonest.

There is no third option to be found on a forum.

Sorry, but there it is.

I'm looking forward to you telling us what they have to say for themselves.

Best luck compadre!

The modified Flash for Android comes in two flavors -

A very old ARMv6 version that I haven't seen updated since 2010.

Or the last version made and hosted at XDA - and also hosted by Dolphin in the link I provided (pointed to by the link that Unforgiven provided). But I don't think it's the latest - just the last one modded to work with Android.
