The REAL Chipmunks we grow up with are still alive and well! People born after 90' need not apply here. I use to dance on my bed when I was a kid and play this record on my record player from Fisher Price over and over at full crank!

It was actually even earlier than that, 1958 according to Wikipedia. The chipmunks are /old./ So are the Smurfs, for that matter.

And besides, us 90's kids are well aware of the 80's versions of both of those shows, because they were still in periodic re-runs clear into the 2000's. "90's kids" who were born in the late 90's (and were therefore too young to remember anything about the 90's /or/ the first half of the 2000's) may be too young, but not real 90's kids.

Edit: Although I misread that. I thought it said "people born in the 90's," not "people born after '90." Subtle but significant difference, I was born early in that year. But then my sister was born almost five years later, and she remembers the 80's chipmunks re-runs too.
