Help 94% battery after a full night of charging?

I got my Nexus S launch day at 8 AM sharp! There are some things I wish were different but over all.......I LOVE IT!!!!!!

I am a bit perplexed over one issue. I will power down my unit and place it on charge before bed. I will not take it off charge for 2 to 3 hours after I get up.

This means it has been charging anywhere from 6 to 9 hours depending on what time I go to bed. When I check the status of the battery in the settings and with a widget I downloaded the answer is usually 94% rarely slightly higher but never 100%.

I used to work in the cellular industry so I have a good understanding of these things. I was just wondering if anyone else has encountered this? If yes, then it may just be an error in how the system reads or shows the charge. If no then i may have a bad battery or unit.

Thanks in advance for the input! DID I MENTION I LOVE THIS PHONE?!?!?!?

PLEASE ONLY ANSWERS, SUGGESTIONS AND RELATIVE COMMENTS.

This same thing happens to my nexus s. I am using batt statt or whatever. I wonder if its a bug with the app? Because my phone still has amazing battery life.

First night, I charged with the Nexus S powered off. Powered it on when I woke, and to my surprise was at 94% charge. Second night, I slept while charging with the power on, and when I woke, it was at 100% but dropped fast. Third night, slept while charging with power on. Woke, it was at 100% and didn't drop fast. Seems to be getting better day by day.

i woke up with it at 97% and let it charge a couple more hours till it was 100%. The Nexus S is amazing at batter consumption. About 12hrs of use and it was only at 64% power drain.

Charged again overnight with the phone off, and it was at 94% this morning. Seems like it only gets to 100% reading if I charge with the phone powered on . This is the opposite of what I have experienced with the HTC Incredible, which seems to get a deeper charge when I charge it with the power off.

I also have had the same issue. I've read that the Nexus S needs to have its battery conditioned a lot more than the Nexus One did. I encountered the same thing as mention above where the first day, battery life was terrible and it didn't go above 95%. Second day, battery life improved a large amount. I'm on my third day now, so we'll see if it's even better.
