Help 9MP or 12MP?

Which do you have your phones camera set to? 12MP or 9MP?
Any reason as to why that's the one you use?
 
I've set my phone to 12MP (4:3) as I've been taking a lot of photos of our new baby son, and they're the right size for printing. Not that I've printed many yet!

Normally I'd take photos in 16:9 as they look better on-screen, even though you're losing pixels in the process. 9MP is still pretty decent for a phone!
 
I've got mine set to 9MP purely for the 16:9 aspect, think it looks better on the phone. And when I've uploaded them to my laptop I can't really tell the difference between 9 or 12 anyway.
