Solyndra: House committee grills officials over failed solar firm - latimes.com

"Solyndra, which was hailed by President Obama in 2010 as an innovative company that would use stimulus money to create jobs and lead the economic recovery, laid off most of its 1,100 workers Aug. 31 and announced it would cease operations. The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy Sept. 6."

Another example of the gov't trying to pick winners and losers. Is anyone really surprised this ended in this manner? And wait until all the corruption in this sleazy deal come to light.

The best part, the administration is already trying to blame Bush.

"Originally authorized by Congress in a 2005 energy law, the loan guarantee program to encourage the development of clean- energy sources.

Solyndra, identified during Bush's administration as a promising applicant, received the Energy Department's first loan guarantee after Obama took office. Solyndra was given conditional approval in March 2009 and the award became final that September."
 
I would also like to add, at no point in time did anyone at Solyndra say they where going to go belly up.

If you are worried about 535 million dollars, you probably can't sleep at night with what the military costs, and they pick winners and losers every day.

LOL, look at this guy complaining about $500 million. Get back to me when the rich people start giving up the MASSIVE tax cuts repubs have given them over the last 20 years.
 
Isn't there an estimate going around that we wasted up to like $60 billion dollars in the Middle East due to fraud and such?
 
You heard the old saying a sucker is born every minute? Well that's our government when it gives away money.
