^+1 for having such an attitude

I agree with cookie. Another +1 to you all. I may not be a developer yet (trying to learn), but I think I speak for devs too when I say that seeing this kind of attitude from those we help is half of why we do decide to help.

Thank you guys for showing your appreciation to those who have helped you.

It's the people who know this stuff, that want to teach the noobs such as myself that makes this place such an enjoyable place. Without teachers(those in the know) who want to help others nobody who hardly know anything!

Again thank you guys immensely

Ha yeah, once I realized that I was asking people some dumb questions, and others that maybe I wasn't ready for, I decided maybe it's time to learn for myself. So I'm picking up books now, to be able to do things myself instead of being a burden.

I really hope no one here has ever made you feel like a burden.:(
The whole reason that this forum exists, and thrives, is because we have knowledgable members who don't mind sharing that knowledge with others, so that those people can, in turn, help others by passing on what they have learned here. What makes this forum different from other forums, and so comfortable, is that we encourage a friendly learning environment here.
There are no stupid questions, if they are asked in earnest!:)

Not in the sense that my questions don't belong here.
More along the lines that I've asked a question I've looked for an answer to, but wasn't able to recognize that answer. So by asking it again, it may annoy somebody who had already answered it multiple times.
I love these forums, and have found a lot of great people and comments that are encouraging me to further my knowledge in development. I'm at a point in life where I need to decide where to go next, and android development is an option I think I would enjoy.

Android Forums is about creating a helpful environment for everyone, from newest n00b to flash-weary veteran developers. It is the site owners vision to provide a place where anyone can come and ask a question at any level.

No matter how intuitive an interface or well designed the hardware is, technology doesn't just appear before you and work. It requires some degree of learning. It is, however, not in everyone's nature to teach, and we don't expect them to be forced into anything they don't want to do.

Android Forum's philosophy is simple. If you can help someone out, that's fantastic. If you'd rather not, that's okay, too, but don't make them feel inadequate for not having the same level of knowledge or experience you do.

I agree. The "How did you get to where you are?" thread in Developer 101 helped me figure out where to turn to start learning on my own (I would post a link but I'm using the Phandroid app).
