A boring wallpaper issue

Then you better try and give feedback on EVERY damn suggestion RIGHT NOW!!!! :p :p :p

Cheers mate!!!!

Oh brother-why do I have the feeling you're going to be the bane of my existence on this site? Rhetorical. Don't respond as I'll be compelled to respond and will end up getting nothing done! I'm already beginning to feel the pangs of addiction

Hey, don't worry we all have outside lives (except @Unforgiven :p). I personally am awaiting for the arrival of a granddaughter, so when we get the call I'm off to the hospital and probably won't be around much for a few days.

About your issue ... I poked around the S7 and found very few settings in themes and wallpapers. This begs the question have you installed any kind of wallpaper app? Just downloading a theme shouldn't effect the way the wallpapers behave. Or, might have the image you want as a permanent wallpaper stored in an odd folder, on an SD card or in the cloud? The only thing I am thinking is that at boot time, Android can't find your image because it hasn't mounted that location yet (just guessing here). Or, try assigning one of the stock wallpapers and then reboot to see if it sticks. If it does, then take the image you REALLY want and move it to a different folder. Then apply it and see that fixes it.

And for you-do you really think, after having read my initial post, that I know how to utilize folders and clouds on this stinking phone? On a serious note, I offer a sincere-though early-congrats on your grandchild. A wondrous experience with which I've never been blessed.

Moving it someplace is no problem, but finding the file in the first place ... um ... could be a problem. So let me ask you this, if you go to your app drawer and find the default gallery app, called "Gallery", can you find the wallpapers you bought there?

Oh, and one more question. Did you get those wallpapers from the Samsung store or Google play?

Now how the hell do you think I got so many posts, I reply to everything. :D:D:D You have my sense of humor, I love it. :)

Well I just know that you all are on the edge of your seats awaiting the outcome (unforgiven just likes to see this post so he can respond thus padding his number of posts)!
Good news and bad news. The good news is that the wallpaper has remained unchanged for 15 hours. Yea! The bad news? I don't know what in the Hell I did to, apparently, fix it. I tried many of your fixes, fiddled around on my own and voila-fixed. The problem being that I don't know which "fix" worked. It wasn't feasible to try one possible solution, and then wait for a few hours, sporadically rebooting, and see what happened. And then repeat the process.
So this remains a bit of a mystery and of no help to anyone with the same issue. Oh well, it's fixed-I think. Thanks for all of your help and good humor along the way. I had an enjoyable time. Guess I'll have to post referencing some other problem I'm having-to clarify, not any problem that I'm having or the thread will go on indefinitely-but rather problems in the world of cell phones. THANKS so much:D:D

He learns quick. :p

Quite contrary, the answer is now in this thread. The next person that runs into the problem my be able to isolate which was the right fix and let us know.
hanks for all of your help and good humor along the way. I had an enjoyable time. Guess I'll have to post referencing some other problem I'm having-to clarify, not any problem that I'm having or the thread will go on indefinitely-but rather problems in the world of cell phones. THANKS so much:D:D
Anytime bro... :)
