A calendar that controls sounds

I'm looking for a calendar that when I input something I can specify not only a reminder but for the phone to silence for the entry...for example if I enter an appointment with a client from 2-3 I can also enter for the phone to be silent for that time period...it's there something like that out there?

That's actually a pretty good idea. I'm going to submit this idea request to the developer of Gemini Calendar. I've never thought of this idea and it makes a lot of sense.

MAYBE Tasker can.

Tasker definitely can do this. What you would do is have Tasker silence the phone (or do any number of other things) when certain calendar event criteria are met. Tasker can do this based on all or part of the calendar title, location or description, or the available status, the calendar on which the event appears.

For example you could have Tasker silence the phone for any calendar event that contains the word silent in the description, or any calendar events between 8am and 5pm on weekdays, or any time you put your phone face down during a calendar event. The possibilities are virtually endless.

Yeah, maybe tasker can do it....but much easier if embedded in a calendar as an option when entering it

Can't figure out how to have dinner go back on when appt is done...I'm New to tasker

Tasker's default behavior is to restore settings to their previous value when a profile exits, so if that's what you want you wouldn't have to do anything special. Otherwise, ask you have to do is add an Exit task to the profile to set the settings the way you want when it exits.

Got it working using tasker, just need to type "mute" in description and my phone is muted for the duration of the calendar entry...awesome
