Help A dead pixel? hmm...

I have a dreaded bad pixel right in middle of screen. Quite big but only seen on lighter backgrounds. Upsetting but Verizon was cool about and it took it back and is sending me another one overnight. Hate that I cant play with it tonight but I am really glad they took it back. You never know what retailers will do about bad pixels. This problem is not uncommon even on ipads.

My suggestion is check different color backgrounds on screen before taking it out of store.

So I have identified a single dead pixel, one that cannot be spotted unless you go looking. Of course I went looking, and now I know it is there. Am I crazy for wanting to replace it? Thoughts?

Hmmm... depends - if you think it'll keep bothering you then return it, if not, it's up to you.

Personally I'd try and return it due to how expensive the device is.

That's my thought. At $800 for a slab of glass that lights up, i would like it to be 100% glorious.

I called verizon and the rep understood. She then said it could be handled one of two ways: as defectove on arrival or under their worry free guarantee. The latter would incur me a restocking fee but that she would call me on Sunday to follow up and waive the fee. The store did it as the former. The store rep even said it looks like two dead pixels and the way I see it is that a dead pixel is like a faulty speaker. I love vzw.

After logging in, all my apps AND settings were restored. Like I didn't skip a beat.
