Android Question

Hi.
I've been trying to download several movies from an internet site using
a Cloudpad 705w Tablet whicj runs in 4.2.1 Jellybean.
Whenever I leave the tablet while a movie is being downloaded and then check it back after several hours, the movie being downloaded seems to be 'paused' all the while as the tablet was unattended, and then it will just resume downloading when I already unlocked the screen again.
Does this mean that the tablet gets into a deep sleep when it's left unattended for a while?
What options / settings do I have to change so that it will not happen and continue downloading even when unattended?
Here are some more details about the phone which might help:
CPU Governors Available: Powersave and OnDemand Only
Installed Anti-virus: None
Browser being used: Chrome (built-in)
Help please. Thanks!
