A few questions I really need help with

Hey all.
Firstly I love the legend, its unrooted, thinking I may have to at some stage, just don't want to brick it.

1) I'm really finding the legend has crap storage. I've got a 16gb sd card installed, running about 70 apps need most of them and most are installed on the SD card.
Yet everyday it tells me I'm running low on storage. its starting to piss me off. Last night I uninstalled apps off the phone, cleared my cache and data in all my apps and got it back to 15mb. this morning turned the phone on, back to 2mb.
Is there a way I can store data from SMS, mail and phone contacts on my SD card? I'll like it to sync to the SD card, not to the phone at all.
Can I do that at all?

2) This there a soft root guide anywhere on the net for the Legend?
I'm running a vodafone/3 Legend, with Hboot-1.01.0000
If theres not, is it easy to root the phone? I've soft hacked a wii, is it as easy as that?

Check your "SD & Phone Storage" see if your card us being used up or not.. if it is it should say the 'Total Space' and the 'Available Space' under it..

if it's not being used up go to Menu>Settings>Applications>Manage Applications

you should be on the 'Downloaded' by default each one (from what i found out) you have to open and check if it says "Move to SD Card" or "Move to Phone" option. If it the "Move to SD" is lit up that means that it's on your phone memory, and you can proceed with moving it to SD card.
