Help A few questions...

Newbie
Tried searching the forums but couldn't find any answers so:
1. How do you rotate images in your album?
2. Is there any way to make the wallpaper repeat itself when you switch between widgets instead of just stretching out?
3. When you use apps that require GPS such as maps, navigation or whatever does the phone actually download anything from the internet (does it count as internet traffic) ?
Thanks in advance !

1. Only with a third-party app (i use PicSay)
2. Only if you use another home launcher app (for ex. LauncherPro)
3. It depends on the nav. app. For ex IGO doesn't require data traffic.

BTW, you should consider rooting with Shuhel's guide ;)

Thanks for the quick reply. Can you explain briefly exactly what rooting means and what are the advantages of doing so?

Rooting removes some limitations. When you'll want to do something but won't be able to, search google and maybe you'll find rooting neccessary. Otherwise, you don't need it.

Well it seems a bit overkill at the moment. Anyone got any working link for iGo my way 480x320 ? Only found a smaller resolution version and i've been looking like crazy. Thanks !
And also could anyone suggest a good map application that doesn't require internet traffic (just a map that shows my current position without any route planning stuff) ?

Use Syric maps.. igo installation istoo complex

Well i've installed iGo but it works like shit. I either got the wrong version or live in the wrong part of the world but it takes ages to get a GPS signal and it's doesn't react to turning around or stuff like that.
Does anyone know any application that has accurate maps and GPS position without any navigation or route planning and works offline?
Thanks.
Btw is anyone successfully using iGo on X8? Seems very laggy on mine.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
This, coming from a newbie who rooted the X8
and wrote a tutorial about it as well! :D

Its just a bit laggy, other than that my GPS signal is quite fast
and after testing iGo more than 10 times in the chaos of Athens,
I can happily report its also quite trustworthy/accurate!
