Help A few slight issues with my desire.

Mashed

Lurker
So about 2-3 months ago i ditched my old crappy phone and got myself a desire and mostly i love it however i'm having a few slightly irritating issues.

1) The facebook app is really slow and sometimes fails to load, it's gotten a bit better since i updated it but it's still not as good people how have i-phones/ blackberry.

2) Texts get mixed up. I wanted to text person A, but it appeared in the thread for person B even though it actually went to A. Similarly i was texting person A it stayed in that thread but got a text from person B saying i had the wrong person.

3) this is the biggy. The battery life is awful. i took it off charge at 5pm on wednesday, switched internet off straight away sent like 10 texts at mosts and the rest of the time it was on standby. By the time i got home at 10pm thursday the battery was on 5%.
It's a tad annoying that that my phone struggles with one day away from home with next to no usage. Since then i've Done the battery calibration thing i've changed all the settings to try and get a bit more life out of it and got Advanced app killer but it still seems to be going down at an annoyingly quick rate.

Does anyone have any solutions to any of these problems? especially the battery life one?

Cheers

Try uninstaling and then reinstall the facebook app.

Hmm, try clearing the data for the messaging app, hit menu-settings-applications-manage, then find the messaging app and hit Clear Data.

That's actualy VERY good battery life. My phone will die after about 10 hours of doing absolutely nothing with it.

and got Advanced app killer

that's one of your problems. Task killers are NOT needed with android, and actually disrupt the way android works. Everytime you close apps, android will just open them back up again to cache them, thus using MORE battery than if you would just leave it alone. Stop using the task killer and you will see in increase in battery life.
