Apps A hand figuring out a garage door opener

I am looking to build a garage door opener that has the following functions:

• Uses the volume button to activate it (For a quick non accident inducing service app start up.)
• Ties into the users home phone number
• Tansmits a signal to the garrage door to open from X distance away

My code at present is taking the form of the SeekBar(Like a volume slider) that I have yet to code the "Phases" of the activation into. Just as proof I am trying to get the toast messages to come up on the screen for each phase of the activation.

NOTE: in the final version these will not exist. Its just a proof of concept.
