A little help regarding camera

I have a Galaxy S2 with ICS 4.0.4 also running Touchwiz. I'm trying to take close-up pics with the camera but they're not coming that great. I also realzied that there is no macro mode on the camera. Is this correct or am I looking in the wrong place? If there isn't what is the best way to take clsoe ups?

I'm afraid I don't know too much about the S2, but have you tried tapping on the screen to focus?
