Root A little help with downgrading, greatly appreciated

Howdy Folks,

I'm a little confused, as I try to follow the Incredible 2 Rooting Guide

http://androidforums.com/incredible-2-all-things-root/520738-incredible-2-all-things-root-guide.html

What confuses me is that the guide has two paths:

Check your software number in Settings> About > Software information > Software number. If it's 6.01.605.05 710RD use:

[guide] How to manually downgrade firmware build 6.01.605.05
Comprehensive S-Off/Root Methods for all firmware versions (no bootloops on 6.01.605.05 firmware!)
[guide] unlock with htcdev
If it's 5.10.605.9 you can start here:

Downgrade Gingerbread 2.3.4 to rootable version 2.3.3

The problem is that I do not match either condition. I have:

Android V: 2.3.4 and SW# 6.04.605.07

Guessing I need to roll back the Android V to 2.3.3, but not sure which process/tools to use.

Anyone?

Thanks very much...

Howdy Folks,

you will need to downgrade to run revolutionary. with your software, use this guide: http://androidforums.com/incredible...y-downgrade-firmware-build-6-01-605-05-a.html since your just a slightly newer build.

taco root may not work on your build, leaving you with the second post. dont worry, the htcdev unlock method should work no matter what software you have. holler if you have questions :)
