been using this rom for a few days i can honestly say its a keeper

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1489197

Its about too update to V6, the 1 and only problem im having is the twice sent text messages but apparantly its because i use a 3rd party app as my main text, gonna look into it more tonight.

i decided to go for the black/blue version and i got to say its the best looking and smoothest ICS rom ive used so far and ive tried pretty much all of them.

Will post screenies later

EDIT: Now on version 7

I'll second that. I like this new rom very much. No FCs at all, lots of features not in AndyX ROM or other ICS roms that I've seen.

Battery life isn't great, but not awful. About 6% an hour for me, which will give me over 16 hours for my usage

The other thing I'd like to add is that the scrolling is MUCH better and much fluid than any other rom out there, and I've tried Wanamlite, AndyxRom and Ressurection.

suparuss, download 2nd core and the latest siyah kernel 3.0.7b i believe, im getting around 2-3% usage during the day and around .75% battery usage per hour over night.

Could probably do better than that with ironass`s tweak guide using lulzactive and voltage control but i just haven`t had the time to sit and play

is that standby time? I know full well if im using my phone AS a phone out and about youll destroy a GS2 battery in no time. This is not a phone designed to be a `when you need it ` kind of phone. Otherwise why did they put two cpus in it ? Delimiting your phone to 100-800 in voltage control gives you one hell of a laggy performance.

2nd core doesn't work on ICS yet.

I'm on 200-800 and don't experience any lag. Then again I only play angry birds space these days. 800MHz dual core isn't slow :P

best ics rom i've used so far in terms of smoothess (need further testing for battery life), but was surprised to find a load of samsung battery killing bloatware still on board (ap mobile, accu weather, yahoo, hubs etc) running in the background. titanium's freeze function sure comes in handy.

in omega kitchen you can remove all the bloatware,

in the end i went back to checkrom yet again. the toggles on the status bar are far too unresponsive, and can take ages to activate wifi, data etc. plus it didnt like playerpro which i use regularly.

still, if youre into ics, omega is pretty decent and prob better than all the rest so far.

After a couple of days the ROM appears to have settled and I'm getting 4.5% an hour, which easily gives me a day no problems.

That's with my usage - but it's a fair comparison because with AndyX ROM I used to get about 4.5% as well. So it's evened out. The only thing that I'll leave for now is CheckROM ICS which apparently is just around the corner

Somehow, the scrolling is not responsive, when using the stock ROM, I need to scroll little to switch to next screen, now I need to scroll harder and faster. I play the game Draw something, it takes more movement till it detects I'm scrolling across the screen.

P.s I'm using the CF root kernel, will that make a difference?? thanks all!

Just downloaded v9.0 (all versions) via torrent, which is by far the quickest way. Just left all 3 on my seedbox so people will get max speeds :D

I'll hopefully give it a shot tonight! The black-blue theme looks like it'll be awesome.

Alright here's my summary of the rom (black-blue version):

Pros:
- Great-looking interface with cool icons
- Works really well with GO Launcher. So customisable!
- Awesome pattern unlock
- Comes with some nice apps, like Home Switch tool, ConvertPad and FasterFix
- Seems to work just fine with Siyah v3.1 beta3 and underclocking.

Cons:
- Comes with all the stock samsung crap, which is easily deletable
- Cannot for the life of me get the kitchen working. Any tips?
- The boot screen is a bit boring, but hoping to fix that with the kitchen fix

Can't comment on battery life yet. 3G and HSDPA seem a bit slower than usual.

I'm thinking of flashing this today. I haven't been too impressed with any of the ics roms so far but the presence of a kitchen app has stoked my interest.

Okay so I flashed this this morning, and I must say i'm pleasantly surprised by how smooth and how well most things are working so far. One issue i'm having though: I paired bluetooth with my car's stereo, it all appeared to work fine but when I played music there was no sound. It definitely isn't the stereo as my GF's SGS2 worked as normal when I tried that. I checked that the volume etc was on and so forth. Anyone got any suggestions?

Just a quick update on Omega.

I've been using it for a couple of days and it's been mostly great, however the battery life is noticably worse than AndyX, particularly whilst the screen is on :P And I still can't get the kitchen working (which was what initially drew me to the rom...).

Here's a battery chart:

While I'm at it, here's some more screenshots from the blue-black theme with GO Launcher:

Edit: Pictures aren't showing on my browser...had crosses on them, so had to direct link =/

I'm also finding this ROM to be a big drain on battery now. I'm thinking of switching back to AndyX ROM - but like most of us, I'm really waiting for CheckROM ICS

I'll be definitely jumping on the CheckROM RevoHD bandwagon when v7.0 comes out. It was by far the best GB rom! But for now I need something to do :D
