A semiquick hello

Hello everyone. I'm new to the forums and am using both an android tablet (asus TF300T) and phone (samsung captivate). I've had the ohone nearly a year and a half now and decided I'm tired of AT&T telling me what I can and can't do with it, so began researching rooting and custom roms, which has led me to this site. after looking around as a guest for a few days, I decided to register and take the leap to root my phone.
