A *serious* app for changing caller ID

No. I am not interested in calling my friends with the name Barack Obama in caller ID.
I'm interested in having my own name in caller ID - which US Cellular says they cannot change from "US CELLULAR". Does anyone know of a very simple (preferably free) app that does just that - without any silly voice changers, etc. I want every call I make to go out with my first and last name on caller ID - without having to set it each time. I'd like this app to function in an invisible manner - so I can completely forget it's there. And if I preface a number with *67 then it would act accordingly ("PRIVATE CALLER" or "BLOCKED").

Not possible. The name is controlled by your carrier and set in a server side database.

if it can be said then it can be done, thats my moto and that is certainly a good idea, for i to would love that app, please keep me posted if you hear anything and ill do the sameandi surf about 500 appsa day =)

switch to verizon. they let you go on their website & set your name for caller id on your cell phone.

Tmo let's you change your name as well through a call to customer service. Takes a couple of weeks for most databases to get updated.
