A simple lock screen?

I've been using Go Locker for a week or so now, but recently noticed its data collection and the fact that if you restart the phone my HTC sense lock screen shows up. My phone isn't locked on restart.

Go Locker has a "Password Unlock" (directly enter the password, skip the lock screen page.) setting which I love. I have no use for a lock screen other than security.

I cannot find a replacement that will let me simply enter my pin with no other key presses or sliders needed. Does anyone know of one? Thanks.

I am rooted if that makes a difference on app recommendations.

Also, Cyanogenmod has this functionality. Is it possible to install CM lock screen with the rom?
 
What phone do you have? That's supposed to be default behavior.

On a Samsung device, if running below 4.3, just go to settings, setup password lock and then turn off the 'with swipe' toggle. After 4.3,you don't get the swipe screen in front of the pin lock.
 
HTC One S running 4.1.1. The default behavior with just a pin is, pull ring up, enter pin, hit go. CM and Go Locker allow you to enter the pin only. I've tried several other lock screens and can't find another that will do this.
 
My rom does not have that setting structure. Regardless, I'm looking for an app. My phone does not have the option to do this without an app or different rom.
 
AFAIK I heard there is a secret hidden display setting for HTC devices, you access it via the Blinkfeed or something of the like. If there's no option in that, you can go CM.
 
I can't get Blinkfeed on my phone, and do not want to go back to CM. I just put a stock HTC Sense rom on my phone and removed everything I didn't want. I'm really just looking for an app. Thanks though.
 
On my One X+ with stock Sense 5 the set up I use achieves exactly as you describe without any third party apps.

Under personalise I have set lock screen style to no lock screen. Then under security i have set screen lock to PIN.

When my screen is off it goes straight to the PIN unlock. I do have to press Return after entering the PIN though.
