Help about Battery???

I jus got a new LG revolution 4G phone and its great.....BUT....it seems to have very poor battery life.....i've only had it for 3 days and a fully chaged phone, with VERY minimul use, din even survive to 6:00 at night (turned it on at about 8:00 in the mourning).....bah, is something wrong with my battery? will the life span eventually get greater with use? or am I gonna be stuck with such a short battery life????

that seems about right, that is the draw back to smart phones, the crappy battery life. You can buy extra batteries on Amazon, that is what I did. Also make sure gps and wifi are off unless you are using them, and dont have the screen on the brightest setting unless you are outside.

really? that is disappointing...either don use my phone, or use in and only have access half the day or buy a second battery....bah....w/e its worth it lolz!!! these phones are too fun!!!

Adding onto danaj's post: also keep Bluetooth off when not in use. I read somewhere that out of the three: Bluetooth, GPS, and wifi; the worst when kept on without actually using it is Bluetooth.

It takes a while for the battery to "settle". For the first 10 days or so, the battery on my handset was only lasting 10-12 hours tops, but it did will get better.

As others have mentioned, turn off WiFi/3G etc when not in use. Might also be worth turning autosync off too as that can be a battery killer.

Which version software do you have, (Gingerbread)?

You could try applications that will save battery life. Juice Defender has a free version.

I have used it on the default settings, and it seems to work for me.

I've used JuiceDefender too, but I had a problem with the radios not always waking up on incoming calls. I'd find the phone unresponsive to the dialer, then reboot it (which would wake the radios) and find several missed calls. The Gingerbread update did more for battery life than JuiceDefender and I've been okay since. - MarkC

My first Revo wouldn't keep a charge for more than three hours, even with everything turned off. Verizon swapped it out for me, but I still could not get a full 8 hour day out of it. I got the extended battery AND started using Juice Defender, and now it performs more or less as I expected.

I am hearing a lot of folks say that the new 4G phones all have this issue of short battery life, even if you aren't in a 4G market. I bought this phone because I didn't want to have a phone that was "end-of-lifed" (no more updates) before my contract ran out, but the battery life issue has really disillusioned me on the 4G phones for now.

I use the portable power pack (a rechargeable battery that easily fits my pocket and plugs into the phone to charge when I'm nowhere near a charger.
