Help ? about incoming call

Ok, so recently when my wife calls me, I hit the answer button, and start to say "hello" and then I get a recording saying I have an incoming call from "wifes name" and press 1 to answer or 2 to send to voice mail. I never set anything up (that I remember) for it to do this. I tried calling my self from my work phone, and don't get it. I don't seem to get it from my father-in-law or anyone else either.

Has anyone else had this happen? it's really kind of annoying to say hello, but then be greeted by a message asking if I want to answer it. It's from my wife after all, of course I want to answer it! And to top it all off, I wouldn't be hitting the answer key, if I didn't want to answer it.

95% chance you have google voice installed and it is handling your call.

Try removing or changing the google voice setting to make MetroPCS the default #

Thanks, I'll look at that. I didn't remember setting it up as default, but I'll take a look.

Oh, one other thing. She got home from the store and I borrowed her phone to experiment. It didn't do it again! I called my number from her phone and it went right through. :( Just like when you take your car to the shop:

Me: "It was making this weird noise, I swear!"
Shop owner: "Sir, my mechanic drove it for 4 hours and it never made that noise."

:)
