about protection - touch screen

Hi
I would like to know what the different between a screen (toucand a screen (no touch)
Talking about protection. Its possible to s touch screen if press with much force, press hard. A big pressure with fingers can sink and damage a touch screen Or just fall can damage.it...

So much of that depends on the device and the user and the fact that "lots of abuse" is a super-objective term.

It's not normal, but I have actually seen someone in a rage start smacking the screen so hard that the digitizer died even though the glass was still good. Rare, but possible.

And falls are like a box of chocolates - you never know what you're going to get.

A fall can break anything in your phone. The energy gets partially absorbed by the case and components that can take it - but any energy getting to a weak spot for that phone will cause damage at that point. Could be the glass, the touch-screen digitizer, the motherboard, the antenna - there's no rule about that.

Best you can do if concerned is use a nice case and treat it best you can.

Thanks for reply !!
Everything you said is true.
In my case, I just pressed the screen with your fingers to remove bubbles that were underneath the film, just once, but I'm thinking that I did something bad to my phone, I damaged the screen or something like that.
I would like to stop thinking about it but... I can

Do you know if your device has a resistive or capacitive screen?

If it's the resistive type, it will feel rather soft, the device will more than likely have a stylus as well. These can be easily damaged by pressing too hard or pressing with a hard object.

Capacitive type screens on the other hand are nearly always hard glass, no stylus as they're designed to be used with your fingers. Tend to be quite robust, short of physically breaking the glass or damaging the digitizer with hard impacts, e.g. dropping the device.,

Thanks for reply. I didnt press so hard. I just press little bit more than normal.
My cell phone is a xperia neo v. Its capacitive screen. I dont know why, but i keep think in my mind that i did some bad and the screen damage, even it working normal. I need relax and hear from you that a pressure more than normal cant damage the touch screen.

Yeh I think it's actually quite hard to damage a capacitive touch screen, short of pressing so hard that you actually break the glass, or impacting it with a hard object, or dropping it.

My Galaxy S has been in my pockets for coming on 18 months now, with keys, coins, USB sticks, etc. The phone is in a rubber sleeve as it's too slippery otherwise IMO, but the screen is exposed and unprotected, there's not a mark on it.
