Root About rooting vodafone 845

Hi, sorry for my bad english.
I have a vodafone 845 for 2 months now and its the first and only android phone i ever had. I wanted to ask is it safe to root vodafone 845 for a noob? cause im not getting another one if i ruin it. And i found a tutorial and etc. I undorstood that i can put custom themes in it but will it make its preformance better? thank you.

I'm wanting to know the same as I want to use DroidWall and it only works if the phone is rooted.

I've rooted my V845 using z4mod. Currently I'm trying to find a good custom rom to use but I can't figure it out. Any ideas?
