? about You Tube vs. Browser

Whenever I am using my Droid to listen to music or watch video from the Internet, I always get a screen prior to what I want where I must choose to "Complete action using" and then a choice between Browser and YouTube.

What is the difference? For example, if what I want is on YouTube, does it matter if I choose Browser or YouTube? Thanks.

Personal preference I suppose, they both achieve more or less the same thing, showing the YouTube video. When you get the choice you can always hit the "Always use" button, and say the YT app will always open up for YT videos, and not nag you any more about it.

I prefer the browser. Not only does it save internal memory since the app isn't needed, but the mobile site offers features the app does not. Besides, like many Google apps lately, the app has issues.

same reason I use Facebook in the browser.

Im a big fan of the app now that rotating to landscape makes it go fullscreen like it used to :)
I just wish they'd add a couple of features.
HD over mobile data and background audio playback

Or a 12GB data allowance. Been using Netflix and YouTube all month and still got 5 GB left.

most if not all unlimited data plans throttle you. Aka, no video streaming or you get dial-up speeds after the first gig.

Yup throttled unlimited. 1gb per day. As soon as the clock strikes 12mn, I get 3G/4G speed on first gig then throttled speed for the rest of the day. The throttled speed is still fast enough to watch YouTube on though, as long as you either wait for the load (HD) or settle for lower resolution.

Mine doesnt get throttled but its slow to start with lol.
Cool i didnt know theyd allowed HD over data. I used to use a modded app for it :)
