Access "normal" android app market from a tablet?

I just got a motorola xyboard, one of the PRIMARY reasons I got it was the iR port to use it with an app that uses iR (currently for this app I have to use a seperate fob device that converts bluetooth from my phone to iR).

I had no idea there were different app markets depending on device, went to download the app and it's not there, called their support and thats when I discovered the seperate app stores.

Support essentially told me the app would run fine on the xyboard, however they have no "plans" as of yet to add the app to the Honeycomb market place...

Does anyone know ANY WAY POSSIBLE to get an app from the regular android market to install on a tablet device like this? I've already rooted the xyboard and tried methods detailing how to do this on the Kindle fire (though yes, I realize this isn't a fire, just figured maybe adapting that method to the xyboard would work - it didn't).

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Your best bet would probably go through and root your tablet or sideload the primary aneroid market onto your tablet. There is probably an apk for what your looking for. Just do a few searches on Google and see what you can find. Then come back here.

Already did try all of that...no go...found plenty of ways to do it on a kindle but not on a regular honeycomb tablet :-(
